A “light-hearted, one-off bit of fun” when The Wedding Present slipped a traditional Ukranian song into a John Peel session, begat a band (led by Wedding Present guitarist Pete Solowka) playing Ukranian music and cheeky cover versions resulting in a series of albums and a reputation for energetic gigs. ‘Tebe Zhdu’ translates as ‘Waiting for you’.
